EZH Radio \\ March New Music – London special

London is at the epicentre of a movement; musicians trained in Jazz are creating music that is porous to its surroundings, with influences from grime, broken beat and electronica being just as prevalent as Jazz.

We select some of the best new releases from London that highlight the movement which continues to build momentum; Empress Nubya Garcia gets a rework from producer K15 and Sons of Kemet return with an album on the mighty Impulse label. South London siren Poppy Ajudha releases her debut E.P featuring Kojey Radical and Joe Armon-Jones of Ezra Collective reveals the lead single from his first album. We check out a new track from Yelfris Valdes; the trumpeter of Yussef Kamaal‘s cult-success album Black Focus. Ill Considered take us down a Spiritual path whilst D Lynnwood provides one of Tina Edwards‘ favourite new tracks of 2018 so far.
